A strong tradition in shoemaking
We are a Danish, family-founded shoe company with a strong tradition in shoemaking and more than 60 years of experience in developing and producing well-crafted footwear. The Original Playboy brand has been central to our story for most of that time.
Our work with The Original Playboy began in the 1970s, and through the years we have played a key role in expanding the brand with new shoes and distinctive boots. This included the first Playboy® boat shoe collection created for the Swedish America’s Cup 12-metre team in 1977, as well as loafers that would become a signature style for our company and coexist alongside the heritage styles.
Along the way, we acquired the Playboy® brand, trademark rights and tooling ourselves, formalising our long-standing involvement with the brand. We see it as a privilege to carry forward the legacy of the brand while continuing to broaden the collections for new generations of wearers.

Knowing all the details
From the beginning, we have taken pride in being involved in every detail of the shoemaking process. Through decades of experience we understand the many elements that define a well-made shoe that not only looks right, but feels right — from the shape of the last and the choice of materials to cutting, stitching, moulding and the hundreds of manual processes that go into making a single pair of shoes.
Making our shoes takes the right partners. We work with trusted collaborators and selected family-run factories in Portugal, many of which we have worked with for decades and maintain close relationships with. Good people and skilled craftsmen who share our respect for the craft and the care that goes into making our handmade shoes and hand-stitched loafers.
