Collabs
We love collaborating with inspiring people and on creative projects. Over the years, these collaborations have taken many different forms. Here are a few selected examples from recent years.
BLS Hafnia x Playboy® Footwear
When heritage craftsmanship meets Copenhagen street attitude
In Autumn 2025, we collaborated with Copenhagen-based streetwear brand BLS Hafnia, headed by brothers Besnik and Burim. The collaboration became a meeting point between heritage craftsmanship and Copenhagen street attitude. Known for their bold, street-driven perspective, BLS Hafnia reinterpreted two of our best-selling loafer styles — Austin and Baker — creating their own sharp, street-inspired take on a Playboy® loafer.
The design featured two interchangeable fringe panels for personal customization, allowing the shoe to shift between sporty, preppy or clean expressions. Each pair was produced in limited numbers, carrying the phrase “We Don’t Play Nice” — reflecting BLS Hafnia’s uncompromising attitude and ambition to push things a little further.

Steve McQueen x Playboy® Footwear
A tribute to Hollywood icon Steve McQueen
Few names are as closely connected to The Original Playboy story as legendary Hollywood actor Steve McQueen. From the 1950s and well into the 1970s, McQueen wore The Original Playboy chukka both privately and on screen, including in the iconic film Bullitt. One of the most celebrated actors of his time, McQueen became the world’s highest-paid actor and gained fame for his roles in films such as The Great Escape (1963), Bullitt (1968), The Thomas Crown Affair (1968), and Le Mans (1971). His effortless style and strong screen presence earned him the nickname “The King of Cool”, making him one of the most enduring style icons in film history.
In honour of that legacy, Playboy® Footwear have collaborated twice with the Steve McQueen family on special projects, the latest running from 2024 to 2025. The collaboration introduced a limited edition chukka based on McQueen’s favourite boots, crafted in black, brown and ‘Bullitt’ cognac suede. The special edition chukka carried Steve McQueen’s emblem embossed on the side, his name on the heel strip, a custom lining printed with his private logo, and a special shoe box featuring a portrait of the actor.

Lewis Leathers x Playboy Footwear
From British subculture to Japan’s cult style scene
Playboy Footwear has enjoyed a long-standing collaboration with Lewis Leathers, Britain’s oldest motorcycle clothing company, established in 1892. Over the years, we worked closely with Lewis Leathers owner Derek Harris, whose deep knowledge of British subculture and the history of The Original Playboy helped reconnect the brand with heritage styles rooted in the UK.
The collaboration brought several archive-inspired designs back to life through Derek’s in-depth research, including a two-tone edition of The Original Playboy inspired by styles worn across the British Teddy Boys, rock and punk scenes of the 1950s, 60s and 70s. The projects also included other limited editions developed together with Derek for Lewis Leathers’ London and Japan stores, including a basket weave leather edition and a distinctive studded style created for Hysteric Glamour in Japan. The collaboration continues today in the same spirit, with Derek’s wife and business partner Saaya carrying his legacy forward.
